This raucous evening will take you on a wild ride, from the musical that launched Bernstein’s career to a world premiere composed by Fort Wayne native Patrick O’Malley, commissioned by the Philharmonic, and performed by violist Brett Deubner. Then, with its large, percussion-driven orchestra and mixed chorus that sings racy texts by wayward monks, Carmina Burana celebrates the joys of the tavern, nature, humor, and love.
