More Information
Beethoven said of Handel, "He is the greatest composer that ever lived. I would uncover my head and kneel before his tomb." Two of Handel's most cherished works are presented on a program culminating with Mozart's Mass, posthumously nicknamed "Coronation" because the Imperial Court of Vienna preferred the music for its royal ceremonies.
